When are minds are under stress, the body reacts in kind

It feels like the whole country is holding their breath right now...
-
When are minds are under stress, the body reacts in kind.
-
Our breathing becomes more rapid and shallow, our stress hormones increase, our thoughts start becoming less constructive and more sporadic.
-
Preforming your best in this state is nearly impossible.
-
The problem is that often a vicious cycle begins as the body reacts to the mind, and the response in our body starts to stress us out even more!
-
One of the best ways I have found to stop this cycle in its tracks and to reconnect the mind and body is breath work.
-
You don't have to be a yogi or do fancy techniques to get some of the benefits from this ancient practice.
-
Taking a few conscious breaths daily is a great start.

If you want to learn a little bit more about breath work and give it a try check out my story for a video on where to start.
